I originally went to see Angela in an effort to resolve a recurring health problem that had first arisen when I was a teenager. It was a female specific issue – I had been misdiagnosed 15 years previously and spent many frustrated years in medical limbo.
When I was finally correctly diagnosed I was told the only treatment was to use a cream everyday for the rest of my life. I instinctively knew that there must be another way and eventually placed myself in the capable hands of Angela.
What unfolded over the next 18 months was the discovery that the answers to my health issue were inside me - I just needed to tap into them. The health issue was to do with issues from my childhood that I had not addressed or sought closure on. Working through my health issue, I have become more confident and happy in myself.
While working with Angela I also worked on relationship issues. I found that there were moments where I would react to my partner in a certain way and I didn’t know why. It was like a switch that would flick inside me. I realised through kinesiology that I was hearing my Dad in certain things my partner did or said. My relationship with my Dad is one where if he says black I would always say white. So as you can imagine, this was quite detrimental to my relationship. Sometimes my partner was offering me advice that was really the best solution but I would be pig-headed and not listen. Through kinesiology we were able to unblock this and as a result I find I don’t react to my partner's suggestions like I used to.
In relation to intimacy, I found it difficult to really let go and be in the moment. I was brought up in a culture where sex was a taboo subject. We worked through this also and I am happy to say that when I am intimate, the results are explosive.
In the year and a half that I have been seeing Angela, I can truly say that it has changed my life in many aspects - in my relationship, in my work and in my relationship with myself.
